MOTMOT COLLECTIVE is a female-owned small business committed to celebrating the plants and bees. We share their wisdom, honor their gifts, and protect their habitats. Our specialty lies in small-batch, 100% beeswax candles sourced from local NJ beekeepers as well as herbalist-formulated infused honey, teas, herbal syrups, skin care products, and a range of herbal remedies. As stewards of the land, we take pride in utilizing organic, locally sourced ingredients from small organic herb farms and our own garden in Freehold, NJ. Although we sustainably source tropical plants, barks, and roots that are not native to the Northeast, we ensure that no threatened or endangered plants are included in our products. Alongside this commitment, we focus on using only the highest quality ingredients. In addition to prioritizing high-quality ingredients, we are mindful of our environmental impact, using only glass, metal and paperboard containers. Our passion is to create a direct connection with nature, aiming to inspire awareness, appreciation and love for both local and global environments.

About the Herbalist:

Michele is an herbalist and passionate environmental advocate. She studied 3 years under herbalist David Winston. Those years of clinical education proved profoundly transformative and led her on a deeper journey with the plants, cultivating her own flourishing garden, all the while collaborating with local beekeepers learning the art of
beekeeping. Her love of this planet extends far beyond her backyard, and has even taken her abroad to Costa Rica, where she also tends to a tropical garden oasis right in the heart of Nosara. Michele’s commitment to sustainability and the plants shines through as the founder of MotMot Collective, crafting delightful herbal products. And as the co-founder of Global Roots CSA, a quarterly offering that brings members together
through herbal remedies, education, and community.
In addition to her herbal pursuits, Michele teaches yoga, sharing her knowledge of holistic wellness with others. Driven by a deeply rooted connection to nature, her work blends herbalism, environmental stewardship, community engagement, and yoga, as earth-based movement, forging a heartfelt connection with our inner compass. She
shares her knowledge with joy and her dedication to sustainability permeates every aspect of her life. Michele’s holistic approach reflects her belief in the interconnectedness to all living things and her unwavering commitment to nurturing both health and harmony for individuals and the planet.
