BOTANICAL YOGA

Botanical Yoga is a beautiful union of plants & yoga. There is a complementary relationship between herbs and yoga.  My intention is to bridge the connection of herbalism with yoga.  Intuitive holistic thinkers developed these techniques centuries ago celebrating tradition and spirituality.  Not only are they sacred practices, but they both offer healing properties.  Stemming from Mother Earth on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.  Properties that nourish the body and spiritual self.  Just like Mother Earth providing a variety of plants that can heal, the movement of our bodies also have the knowledge to heal.  There are herbs/plants that can aid in digestion, similarly the body can move in particular positions to also aid in digestion.  Bringing trust and appreciation back to the self and the earth.

Michele, a passionate environmentalist, started fire escape gardening in 2006.  Longing for a bit more space, she found herself with a quaint garden at the Jersey Shore.  She started intentionally working with plants in 2018 when she noticed the similarities between yoga asana and plants.   From this, Botanical Yoga was born & her journey into clinical herbalism began.  Now, a forever student of the plants, Michele shares their teachings through yoga & community classes.
